Job Descriptions:

 

  • Provide support to Finance Managers to ensure capitalization of Fixed Assets complies with the company’s capitalization policy.

  • Responsible for finance related matter for Fixed Assets including preparation of Monthly Performance Report and Profit Plan.

  • Review and release purchase requisition raised by operations for purchase of budgeted and unbudgeted assets.

  • Monitor the status of development projects in accordance to approved budget and contracts awarded, and to highlight any variation in cost.

  • Assign the correct asset class and depreciation rate to assets as per the generally accepted accounting standard.

  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure proper fixed assets accounting procedures are adhered to, from its acquisition to the subsequent movements and its eventual retirement.

  • Ensure timely preparation of reports for management review and fixed assets verification by respective Head of Department.

  • Verify all progress claims submitted for payments are in order and follow up on the payment process to ensure payments are made within the specified period.

  • Highlight any inconsistency found to the Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager.

  • Prepare ad-hoc management schedules as and when requested by management.

  • Assist Finance Manager in projects such as the new iHoliday platform (e-Leisure), GeMCash projects and any other new upcoming projects.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Possess a Degree in Accounting or with minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience

  • Able to lead, manage and supervise the accounting function of a team of accounting staff

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage

  • Able to work under tight deadline or pressure and able to work under minimal supervision

  • Possess good written and communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia
