JOB DESCRIPTION: LANDCAPE ARCHITECT

Plans, execute events and leading teams from the initial conception of the event to its successful completion with milestones, deadlines and coordinate both internal team and contractors to ensure a successful event.

 

  • Lead & manage all design & innovation matters in the team operation, development of specific construction details, design trend & idea research.
  • To produce creative ideas & concept innovation, design development & visualization, preparation & compilation of presentation materials.
  • Presentation of design intends, materials selection costing, etc from the conceptual design stage up to design development stage.
  • Communicate with clients, engineers and architects on landscape projects, both written and orally.
  • Prepare layered, visual representations of verbally described outdoor areas, present the images to clients and edit them to fit changes suggested by clients.
  • Inspect project sites for structural and ground stability to ensure safety in final project, and make changes to the existing design as necessary.
  • Stay up to date on current practices and landscaping trends by engaging in continued research and education.
  • Put together planting schedules after the project is done in order to maintain the style, beauty and health of the finished product.
  • Collaborate with local regulatory committees and legal organizations to understand current laws about conservation, water use and public safety.
  • Follow up with clients after completion of a project to ensure satisfaction and maintain a future business contact.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, submission drawings, tender/contract drawings and documents to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Prepare construction drawings and assist Project Manager during the construction stage to ensure intends is interpreted and implemented accurately.
  • Manage & oversee team full operations, managing delivery timeline & client expectations, guide & steer the team in project management.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Landscape Architect or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in landscape related field
  • Able to work effectively both independently, multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work, and in a team-based environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project) & Auto CAD, Sketchup, Rhino or any related 3D Software will be an added advantage.
  • Required language(s): English, Mandarin, Malay
  • Willing to travel to Genting Highlands and coordinate at site if needed
