Job Responsibilities:
- Handle the full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting functions, including preparation of financial statements under Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (“MFRS”), International Financial Reporting Standards and Bursa Securities Listing Requirements
- Formulate and review the policies and procedures to ensure accounting and financial reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes
- Provide accounting technical support to finance teams
- Ensure compliance with current accounting standards under MFRS and advise the finance teams of implications of non-compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, corporate guidelines and statutory requirements
- Responsible for estimating corporate income tax, review of tax computation and deferred tax computation
- Responsible for liaising with the external auditors
- Any other ad-hoc assignments as assigned by superiors
Qualification
- A good degree in Accounting or related professional qualifications.
- At least 7 years of working experience with minimum 2 years in managerial position, preferably from Big 4 audit firms
- Member of professional body (E.g. ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, CPA, ICAA).
- Must be a MIA member
- Good knowledge in MFRS, knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Meticulous, highly organised and strong leadership qualities.
- Good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.
