Job Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering (Safety/Health) or its equivalent. Added knowledge on environmental safety will be on advantages.
• At least 5 to 7 years of working experience in Health and Safety activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Registered Safety & Health Officer with Department of Occupational Safety & Health Malaysia (DOSH) and valid green book holder.
• Familiar with Malaysia OSH Legislation such as OSHA 1994, FMA 1967. A
• Excellent analytical, problem solving skills in making quick, independent and rational decisions, especially incident investigation or situational assessment.
• Possess auditing skills and knowledge to identify gaps / weaknesses,  and being resourceful in recommending corrective and preventive measures.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work on shift basis that in accordance to the operation hours of the parks.

Job Description:

• Provide support to AVP of Genting Theme Parks – HSC and SVP of the department.
• To recommend and develop effective safety strategies, policies and procedures for Genting Theme Parks Operation and Technical Services.
• To analyse a situation or incident and deciding / recommending suggestion on the next actions to be taken for such situation /incident.
• Implementation of the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety Policy and maintenance of the Environmental and Occupational Safety & Health Management Systems, and ISO 14001.
• Supervise and support the work of the Asst Manager / Executive Health, Safety & Compliance.
• Carry out audits, inspections to detect existing or potential health and safety hazards, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Provide trainings to all employees to ensure that they operate in compliance with all the standards and legal requirements.
• Conduct HIRARC (Hazards Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) and Job Safety Analysis at workplace.
• Prepare safety evaluation reports.
• Conduct regular safety briefings and programs to create workers’ awareness.
• Conduct investigation on workplace incidents & report to relevant local authority as required by law.
• Liaise with relevant authorities such as Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), BOMBA and other related departments when necessary.
