Job Requirements:

 

  • Minimum qualification of Bachelor's degree;
  • Confidence in speaking, reading and writing English essential;
  • Minimum 5 years in professional experience managing live entertainment experiences in theatre and/or in industrial show products;
  • Past Experience in Theme Park Live Entertainment or high scale production shows is preferred;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all levels of stakeholders;
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), with good documentation skills;
  • Knowledge of scheduling, manpower and rehearsal planning a must;
  • Knowledge of AV and special effects;
  • Leadership experience is essential.

 

Job Descriptions:

 

Stage managers have several key responsibilities and tasks to perform in each phase of a production, including:

  • Scheduling and running rehearsals;
  • Communicating the director's wishes to designers and crafts people;
  • Coordinating the work of the stage crew;
  • Calling cues and actors' entrances during performance (if necessary);
  • Overseeing the entire show each time it is performed.

 

In conjunction with the director, the stage manager determines the scheduling of all rehearsals and makes sure everyone involved is notified of rehearsal times, meetings, costume/wig fittings, cosmetology and coaching sessions. During the rehearsal phase, stage managers also:

  • Mark out the dimensions of the set on the floor of the rehearsal hall (if required);
  • Makes sure that rehearsal props and furnishings are available for the actors;
  • Notify the designers and crafts people of changes made in rehearsals.
