POSITION: Staff, Costume Workroom (4)


REPORT TO: Assistant Manager Costume Workroom


BASIC FUNCTION: The Staff, Costume Workroom will assist the Assistant Manager, Costume Workroom in the maintenance and creation of costume and accessories as required by the Costuming Department.







  • They are responsible for maintaining, repairing, or creating costumes for parade, shows, performances and venues including paper pattern making, fabric cutting, sewing and hand stitching.  Other tasks include: fabrication and construction of costumes; completing alterations on costumes as necessary; maintaining and altering costume items needed for services and performances; providing assistance in creating crafts such as hats, jewellery, footwear, masks and accessories when needed; performing additional costume-related tasks as requested by the Assistant Manager, Costume Workroom.

    • To enforce and adhere to all Malaysian laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, industry and company rules and regulations, reporting and safety concerns or incidents to management in order to minimise risk and maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for all Guest, Cast & Crew.
    • To manage emergency situations that may arise in order to minimize possible damage, loss or injury to any Guests, Cast & Crew or Company property.

    • To display a friendly, helpful and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with Guests and fellow Cast & Crew in order to support the company vision, core values and brand promise.
    • To represent and promote indoor and outdoor theme parks in a positive manner at all times in order to maintain a professional brand image to all concerned stakeholders.
    • To listen actively to our Guest feedback, request and concerns in order to take action in an ethical, effective and timely manner to exceed their expectations.
    • To enforce attraction rules and provide crowd control in a friendly manner throughout the areas as necessary in order to ensure the Guest's safety and enjoyable experience.

  • SPM Graduates


  • Experience with costume making is preferred
  • Experience with industrial sewing machine


  • Able to work with all types of fibers and furs
  • Able to work precisely and productively under time pressure
  • Able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary
  • Able to lift heavy costumes
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time



  • Malay and Mandarin speaking, reading and writing skills helpful.  Basic English.
  • Willingness to learn in the entertainment and costuming industry





  • This position is primarily based in the costume workroom area, however going into the park on location may be necessary for some fittings and alterations.
