Location: Genting Highlands, Pahang, MY

Basic Functions     : Execute day-to-day operational tasks at stations, ensure guest safety and comfort, manage crowd flow, comply with SOPs, and uphold service quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Station Operations & Service Execution

  1. Perform assigned duties at boarding, disembarkation, and turnstile areas.

  2. Ensure safety procedures are followed during guest embarkation and disembarkation.

  3. Assist in crowd flow management and queue direction.

  4. Ensure all guests scan their boarding at their respective turnstile before queuing for boarding gondola.

  5. Carry out cleanliness checks and upkeep station tidiness.

  6. Record down the number of passengers in the hourly headcount form

  7. Follow all shift instructions given by Supervisor or Executive.

 

    1. Guest Service & Interaction

  1. Greet and assist guests courteously and professionally.

  2. Provide basic information on Skyway services when required.

  3. Identify and assist elderly, and persons with disabilities during boarding.

  4. Support guest inquiries and refer unresolved issues to Supervisor.

  5. Assist in guest recovery efforts when required.

    1. Safety & Emergency Readiness

  1. Follow all safety protocols while on duty.

  2. Monitor for hazards or irregularities and report immediately.

  3. Assist during station emergencies under Supervisor’s direction.

  4. Participate in emergency drills such as fire and safety evacuation and service interruption drills.

  5. Ensure station is free of obstacles and safe for operation.

  6. Assist guests boarding and embarking the gondola.

  7. Assist handicapped, wheelchair or elderly guests boarding and disembarking the gondola.

  8. To ensure a maximum of 8 to 10 passenger per gondola during busy periods.

  9. Report any incident/accidents or complaints to the Supervisor or Executive on duty.

  10. Record the number of stoppages, downtime and interval time of the skyway operations during operations hours into the stoppage log – book.

  11. Ensure the work area is safe at all time.

  12. Assist in performing contingency plan during the emergency stoppage of Skyway due to technical problem, high wind speed and etc.

    1. Compliance & SOP Adherence

  1. Adhere to daily SOPs for station tasks, guest interaction, and crowd control.

  2. Record attendance, checklists, or logs as instructed.

  3. Report any SOP deviations or equipment issues to Supervisor.

  4. Wear proper uniform and maintain grooming standards.

  5. To record and check all the operational related forms accordingly.

    1. Teamwork & Coordination

  1. Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

  2. Prepare and standby extra queue line and pole during peak period

  3. Attend daily briefings and training sessions as scheduled.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Training & Development

  1. Participate in all scheduled training programs or briefings.

  2. Learn SOP updates and new procedures as instructed.

  3. Receive on-the-job trainings from Supervisor or Executives.

    1. Station Cleanliness & Basic Upkeep

  1. Maintain clean and organized station areas during and after shift.

  2. Dispose trash properly and ensure guest waiting areas are tidy.

  3. Support basic upkeep tasks when assigned.

    1. Authority

      1. Authorized to press the Skyway emergency stop button during an emergency (someone falls into the gondola track).

 

      1. Authorized to deny entry to guests at the turnstile/ticket collection counter without valid skyway ticket(s).

 

Specification

JOB SPECIFICATION – CREW

Attainment

  1. Minimum SPM or equivalent.

Experience

  1. No prior experience required; customer service background is an advantage.

  2. On-the-job training will be provided.

Abilities

  1. Fit to perform physical duties such as standing, assisting guests, and moving across stations.
  2. Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  3. Polite, friendly, and able to communicate clearly in Bahasa Malaysia or English.
  4. Multilingual ability, including Mandarin or Tamil, is an added advantage.
  5. Able to remain calm and professional during peak or high-pressure situations.
