POSITION: Manager, Costume Entertainment


REPORT TO: Director of Costuming


BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for all entertainment related costumes involved in any type of shows and meet and greets throughout the park.








  • The Manager, Costume Entertainment is responsible for all entertainment costuming including supervising cosmetology. 
    • S/he will manage a team of costumers and work closely with suppliers/vendors to supervise the costume production cycle from start to finish.
    • Identify ongoing costume improvement to improve cast comfort and production/maintenance efficiency
    • Manage costume production budget and source new vendors and suppliers when required; continually evaluate the costume inventory level for all parties and develop costume replacement plans in a timely fashion
    • Train cast members and supporting teams in the proper wear of all garments, including mascots. 
    • They will work closely with various teams to strike optimal business balance from multiple perspectives - creative, safety, distribution, maintenance, and financial and document all costume history from design through completion with relevant notes.

    • To enforce and adhere to all Malaysian laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, industry and company rules and regulations, reporting and safety concerns or incidents to management in order to minimise risk and maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for all Guest, Cast & Crew.
    • To manage emergency situations that may arise in order to minimize possible damage, loss or injury to any Guests, Cast & Crew or Company property.


  • Guest & Market
    • To display a friendly, helpful and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with Guests and fellow Cast & Crew in order to support the company vision, core values and brand promise.
    • To represent and promote indoor and outdoor theme parks in a positive manner at all times in order to maintain a professional brand image to all concerned stakeholders.
    • To listen actively to our Guest feedback, request and concerns in order to take action in an ethical, effective and timely manner to exceed their expectations.
    • To enforce attraction rules and provide crowd control in a friendly manner throughout the areas as necessary in order to ensure the Guest's safety and enjoyable experience.


  • Financial Results
    • To maintain building, facilities, equipment and supplies in order to minimise damage, reduce waste and control costs.
    • To actively seek and implement cost saving programs in order provide positive financial results.





  • Post-secondary Degree, preferably in theatre costuming


  • Minimum eight years in costume design or development, with at least 3 years managerial position
  • Previous experience in show operations together with strong background in practical techniques, machinery, and hand sewing skills



  • Confidence in speaking, reading and writing English essential.
  • Solid knowledge in pattern making and textile construction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all levels of stakeholders
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills



  • Malay and Mandarin speaking, reading and writing skills helpful.
  • Information Technology literate with good documentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of wig and make up design





  • This position is based both in the costume workroom area, costume distribution area, and around the park.  It is expected the manager will actively watch entertainment offerings on a daily and weekly basis.  The manager may be requested to fulfill duty manager position when required and work a varied schedule due to operational needs.
