HR Executive - Industrial Relations

Job description:

  • Formulate and review IR policies and guidelines to promote industrial harmony.
  • Manage any grievances, disputes and disciplinary cases towards a prompt and amicable resolution.
  • Ensure disciplinary actions taken are in compliance with Employment Act 1955.
  • Advise and direct line managers accordingly on the appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with the Company’s policy and procedures.
  • Initiate effort that promotes good faith and mutual respect in terms of relationship with the Union.
  • Company’s representative in conciliation meetings and Industrial/Labour Court.
  • Assist in revision of Collective Agreement.

 

 Job requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law, Human Resources Management, Business Studies or related discipline. 
  • Ability to interpret Malaysian Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, Trade Union Act 1959 and current labour law practices.
  • Ability to handle Industrial Relations matters relating to employee discipline, domestic inquiries and grievances.
  • Strong leadership qualities, negotiation and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to speak in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure/working in a unionized environment will be an added advantage.
