Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for overall supervision of the Section
  • Plan, organise and supervise work performed by team members
  • Reports to the Assistant Vice President of Finance Department
  • Establishment of appropriate controls and checks on documents and processes to ensure they are complete, accurate, reliable and comply with company policies
  • Ensure the procedures laid down by management is clearly understood and correctly applied and adhered to.
  • Review prevailing process and procedures to ensure compliance with policies and identify areas for improvements
  • Identify problem areas requiring attention and implement procedures to overcome
  • Assist operations department in financial related reports (ad-hoc or periodical).
  • Provides on the job training and guidance to team members
  • Ensure that internal and external reporting requires are met on timely manner
  • Verify manual payment requisitions submitted by operations and ensure supporting documents are adequate, proper approval obtained and relevant policies adhered to.

 

Requirements:

  • A good degree in Accounting or related professional qualifications.
  • Must be a member of professional body (E.g. MIA, ICAEW, ACCA, MACPA, CPA, ICAA).
  • Minimum 6 years accounting experience and at least 1 year experience at managerial level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Meticulous, highly organized and strong leadership qualities.
  • Good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Experience in the industry is an added advantage
