Job Description
       
Job Title: Executive, Costume Workroom - Crafts Specialty (1)
Department: Entertainment Section: Costuming

Reports To: Assistant Manager, Costume Workroom Direct Reports: None
       
Desired Qualifications *Minimum qualification of 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience *Malay and Mandarin speaking, reading and writing skills helpful.
Skills: *Confidence in speaking, reading and writing English essential.
  *Minimum two years of experience in related craft field such as costume production and prop construction
  *Knowledge of health and safety requirements for crafts and dying
  *Intermediate patterning, cutting skills, and sewing kills
  *Advanced dying skills
  *Intermediate knowledge of hand tools, including rotary cutters, drills, and riveting.
  *Basic IT knowledge in order to prepare spreadsheets and answer emails.    
  *Ability to train others on maintenance techniques
       
Job Summary:
The Crafts Specialty Executive supports the costume workroom by constructing and maintaining costumes, shows, events, and attraction related elements as assigned.  S/he is responsible for construction and maintenance of specific show related costumes, shoes, and props, which may include washing, drying, ironing, and setting costumes in preparation of show.  Maintains cleanliness of all work areas, safety requirements, and attends safety training sessions.  Uses textiles including fur, vinyl, and 4-way stretch fabrics.  Frequent craft dying projects, working with diverse materials, and efficient problem solving.  Will frequently work with specialty character parts and pieces, foam carvings, paint, and ageing and distressing techniques.
Working Environment:
This position is based both in the costume workroom area and around the park.  It is expected the executive  will actively watch entertainment offerings on a weekly basis to improve quality.  The executive will be asked to assist in other costume areas as needed depending on the work load.
