  • The Director of Entertainment is responsible for all Live Entertainment deliverables. S/He requires to have in depth knowledge of Intellectual Property, Theme Park Live Entertainment Operation management, Events & Production experience. Responsible for the management of all Live Entertainment standards, standard operating procedures & leadership of Live Entertainment department.  Work closely with partners and vendors making sure all entertainment offerings are approved and all brand guidelines are followed within the park.
    • Leads the overall department strategy, creative and operational vision, ensuring that both daily and long-term operations align with the brand.
    • Team building: ensuring that all department managers have the right tools and support with which to succeed
    • Current on all industry trends, technologies and applications, able to incorporate such technologies to ensure entertainment programming is up-to-date and forward thinking
    • Knowledgeable of all entertainment forms, mediums and their application
    • Able to lead the design and implementation of guest service excellence initiatives through all entertainment offerings, personnel and experiences.

    • To enforce and adhere to all Malaysian laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, industry and company rules and regulations, reporting and safety concerns or incidents to management in order to minimise risk and maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for all Guest, Cast & Crew.
    • To manage emergency situations that may arise in order to minimize possible damage, loss or injury to any Guests, Cast & Crew or Company property.

    • To display a friendly, helpful and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with our Guests and fellow Cast & Crew in order to support the company vision, core values and brand promise.
    • To represent and promote Genting Malaysia in a positive manner at all times in order to maintain a professional brand image to all concerned stakeholders.
    • To listen actively to our Guest feedback, request and concerns in order to take action in an ethical, effective and timely manner to exceed their expectations.


  • Financial Results
    • To maintain building, facilities, equipment and supplies in order to minimise damage, reduce waste and control costs.
    • To actively seek and implement cost saving programs in order provide positive financial results.





  • B.A. in Performing Arts, with Production & Technical emphasis highly desirable


  • Minimum of 5 years of Executive Management experience in managing Theme Park Live Entertainment Operations.
  • Minimum of 10 years Live Entertainment experience



  • Extensive Intellectual Property experience required and proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast, rapid changing environment
  • Solid knowledge in Live Entertainment and production shows.
  • Strong Leadership & Business Acument skills



  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.  Additional language skills a plus.
  • Experience of budgeting, cost analysis, construction, event planning, contracting & negotiating with third party vendors experience would be an added advantage





  • This position is based both in the office and around the park.  It is expected the manager will actively watch entertainment offerings on a daily and weekly basis. Take notes on each performance and correct any potential problems. The manager may be requested to fulfil duty manager position when required and work a varied schedule due to operational needs. CD might be asked to work on different days of the week and weekends. On special holiday seasons CD is requested to work.
