Job Description


  • Develop strategies and benchmarks for annual budget planning and performance management to forecast attendance/occupancy and revenue targets

  • Establish, track and report on key performance indicators for operational changes and offerings in terms of financial return on investment and guest satisfaction

  • Researches patents, copyrights and trademarks in order to make sure there are no infringement issues involved

  • Drive business through early planning and Merchandise Strategy

  • Provide merchandising direction through Visual Merchandising and Design Team

  • Prepare seasonal roadmap for Product Development and Marketing Team

  • Lead cost targets and pricing structures with recommendations to vendors/team.

  • Oversee vendor communication, sampling, QS and sample approval

  • Partner with team on trend analysis, inspiration and market research for new product development as well as competitive analysis

  • Collaborate efforts with Marketing Department to ensure the IP branded products, packaging and merchandise efforts are cohesive and are on-par with brand initiatives

  • Oversee the selection, purchasing, storage, inventory, maintenance and usage of all related merchandise (SKUs).

  • Oversee the development, interpretation and implementation of policies, operating procedures and training programs, manuals, directives, product, work schedules, rules and regulations for the Product Development & Merchandise team.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.

  • Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and coach Product Development & Merchandise employees for the efficient work in the Merchandise department.

  • Develop process to deliver short-term and long-term financial forecasts 

  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships internally within a matrix organisation as well as externally to support the business; supports decision-making and strategic vision; ensures accountability to company standards

  • Other job related duties as requested.



Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Business or its equivalent. 

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in merchandising with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity 

  • Candidates with experience in international retail and/or product development in FMCG companies preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required with working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
