Job Description – Engineering GenM Building – Resort Hotel

Job title: Assistant Tradesman

Location: GENM Building, and any other places for repairing and installation works (on ad-hoc basis)

Purpose of job:

In line of company’s cost savings policy, to proper  maintenance and documentation of the Building R&M  and others  in accordingly EIMS procedure,  to provide R&M service  to end users and maintain good relationships between engineering building section  and engineering management.                                        .

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend morning briefing everyday
• Receive work orders from supervisor regarding plumber, carpenter, painting, varnishing and masonry jobs
• Able to complete tasks without supervision from supervisor
• Assist in helping other assistant tradesman with jobs
• Have extended knowledge of the property including hot/water tank and pump room locations in case of emergency
• Answer pager/handphones during standby or during shift work
• Ensure their works and works of their juniors are completed well and within time limit

Qualifications required:

• Certificate in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering
• or SPM Qualification with minimum 1 year working experience as an Assistant Tradesman.
• Practical knowledge on Building repair and maintenance and also computer knowledge will be an advantage.
