Job Description

 

1) Risk Management

  • Review and validate the risk assessments and profiles of the business and operating units.
  • Discussion with business and operating units on the effectiveness of existing controls and risk treatment and ensure compliance and reporting requirements are adhered to.
  • Assist to maintain and review GENM’s risk management framework and practices against internal and external expectation and demand and propose improvements or enhancements to the existing risk management practices and process.
  • Assist to develop, maintain and update the ERM manual and Risk Management policies and procedures as well as related documentations and forms.
  • Assist to monitor and report on the top risks, significant risk issues and emerging risks as well as where warranted, review the effectiveness of control measures in mitigating these risks and propose enhancements to the controls
  • Identify and monitor key risks indicators relating significant risks.
  • Validate and associate nature of operational risks to designated risk categories (sub/ risk scenario) for risk consolidation and analysis
  • Conduct ad hoc / independent risk assessment, analysis and reporting on specific issues / areas as required and ensure assess the effectiveness of existing control measures and if need be, propose appropriate corrective measures to mitigate the risks.
  • Initiate and coordinate Risk Management road shows, workshops and trainings for GENM Groups.
  • Facilitation of risk moderation and re-assessment sessions.
  • Compiling risk management related information for quarterly reporting to RBCMC.
  • Assist in taking and prepare minutes for quarterly RBCMC meetings. 
  • Assist in the arrangement and conduct of the RBCMC meeting.
  • Assisting in the review and propose update to GENM’s SORMIC reporting in the Annual Report
  • Coordinate and conduct risk management training sessions / workshops and roadshows for users and employees.
  • Initiate and coordinate the implementation of risk management process on specific projects and significant initiatives engaged by GENM. 
  • Coordinate review, update and consolidation of project
  • Review and identify areas of concerns for potential Operation Compliance efforts based on various sources i.e. daily operation report, incident report etc.
  • Conduct operational compliance check (control validation) on critical controls to significant risks.
  • Review scope and effectiveness of existing operational compliance works
  • Attending risk management related meetings.
  • Attend to risk management related enquiries and issues raised by users.
  • Conduct ad hoc risk management assignments as required by management.
      

2) Business Continuity Management

  •  Assist to review and assess GENM’s Crisis Management Framework/ Structure for effectiveness.
  • Assist to review and assessment on BCPs for effectiveness.
  • Initiate and Coordinate the development and execution of BCM simulations/ drills etc at CMT and ERP levels.
  • Assist to coordination and reporting of GENM’s BCM program effectiveness (i.e. ITDRP from IT Dept, ERP from Fire Unit etc.) implementations Assess effectiveness of GENM’s overall and individual components of BCM e.g. ITDRP, ERP, CCP, BCP etc.
  • Maintenance, review and update of the existing BCP documentation including BCM Policies, Procedures and manual
  • Propose enhancements to BCM policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct Business Continuity Management road shows and trainings for GENM Groups.
  • Compiling BCM related quarterly information for reporting to RBCMC.
  • Maintain, review and update status of BCM register.
  • Review critical processes and identify gaps in users’ BCM preparedness.
  • Initiate / Coordinate Business Impact Analysis review/ renewals of business areas
  • Coordinate and conduct relevant BCM training and roadshows to inculcate awareness and preparedness amongst users

 

Job Requirement

  • Possess a Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university;
  • Minimum of 6 years of working experience in the related fields;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Possess good time management, organizing and planning skills;
  • Must be innovative, analytical, and resourceful and result- orientated;
  • Experience in Compliance or Audit, Risk Management & BCM would be added advantage.
